Interested in joining the lab?
Join our M.Sc. Program in the Division of Biological Sciences at the University of Missouri
I am recruiting two (funded) M.Sc. students for Fall 2024 to work on the reproductive ecology and behavior of glass frogs, specifically using the Emerald glass frog Espadarana prosoblepon as a study system.
Students in the lab can expect support from the lab's Principal Investigator (me!) as their primary advisor and guidance from their departmental committee. Students are expected to shape and lead their research projects toward completing their degree. Furthermore, students in our lab are encouraged to engage in professional development opportunities, science communication, and outreach activities. I am committed to your professional development inside and outside academia.
Research Focus:
The specific topic of the master's thesis is flexible to fit both the applicant’s interests and skillset and the lab’s current research program. Currently, we are interested in oviposition site choice behavior, microhabitat factors, and their impact on reproductive success. Additional topics include mating and calling behavior and variation in reproductive behavior across habitats.
